Most schools ask children to adapt to the system. Anan asks the system to adapt to the child. Through years of observation and practice, we have identified five primary ways in which young people learn best. We call these the Five Routes. They are not rigid categories or personality labels. They are lenses, tools that help our mentors understand each learner and design experiences that reach them where they are strongest.

The Kinetic Route
Learning by Doing
Some children understand the world best when their hands are in it. The Kinetic Route is built for learners who think through action, who need to build, test, dismantle, and rebuild before something truly makes sense to them. These are the makers, the experimenters, the ones who trust what they can touch.

The Strategic Route
Learning by Breaking
Some youngsters grasp a system only after they have disassembled it. The Strategic Route is for problem solvers, logical minds who enjoy complexity and are satisfied when a riddle yields to persistent thought. These are the analysts, debaters, and those who question why before asking how.

The Expressive Route
Learning by Sharing
For some, learning deepens when ideas are expressed. The Expressive Route is for the communicators, the collaborators who discover the depth of their own understanding through language, dialogue, and shared experience. These are the presenters, the storytellers, the ones who light up in a room full of people.
